About Us

Our Mission

Surge Dance Collective empowers advanced dancers and instructors in the Fraser Valley through elite training, mentorship, and a commitment to artistic excellence.

Elevating The Dance Community

Our mandate is to bring high-quality, industry-level dance training to the Fraser Valley while fostering connection, creativity, and community among adult dancers and teachers. We aim to create a safe, inspiring space where dancers can continue to grow, and instructors can share fresh ideas to bring back to their own classes while also enjoying the experience of taking class themselves.

About The Owner - Caylea Davidson

Fueled by a lifelong love of movement, I’ve spent my life dancing, training, teaching, and chasing every spark this art form brings. While continuing my own professional training alongside teaching and working, I felt inspired to create something closer to home—an opportunity for dancers in the Fraser Valley to grow without the long commute.

I’m especially passionate about teaching acrobatics and contemporary dance, and I deeply miss taking class purely for the joy of it. My dream is to build a space where dancers of all backgrounds can train, connect with industry professionals, and rediscover the thrill of being in the studio. Above all, I want to cultivate a warm, supportive community right here in the Fraser Valley—one where we can move, create, and be inspired together.

Sabra Lind

Sabra Lind (She/Her) is a performer, teacher, and choreographer based in Vancouver, Canada. She lives and works on the unceded traditional territories of the Semiahmoo, xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) First Nations. She was fortunate enough to grow up with access to elite training in a variety of genres including Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre, as well as Commercial Heels as an adult. Sabra is known for her versatility and is grateful to have had the opportunity to work in the dance industry as a dancer and teacher for 15 years.

Sabra began her professional career working with companies such as Patrick Roberge Productions (Pacific National Exhibition) and The Lovers Cabaret. Her more recent credits include TELUS (Fuze Entertainment), Fuselage Film Festival, Disney, Dances For A Small Stage, The Main Event, and several recording artists including Dear Rouge, Fionn, and Star Captains. Her work and training have given her the opportunity to learn from or collaborate with inspiring choreographers like Heather Dotto, Christina Schell, Nathan Fadear, Sarah Reich, and Heather Laura-Gray. As a choreographer, Sabra has worked with Vancouver Film School and has collaborated consistently over the years with Volume Studio and Shine Community Fundraiser. One of her favourite moments of her career so far includes collaborating as a movement coach and choreographer on the short film “Paqes” with film students from Simon Fraser University. Sabra was grateful to work with indigenous artists and community members like herself to bring a beautiful story to life.

Sabra’s early training was what initially sparked her interest in teaching and equipped her with the beginnings of a background in anatomy and dance history. This has helped her to develop a broad academic and cultural understanding of dance that she continues to cultivate through professional development with resources such as International Dance Teaching Standards and The Dance Leadership Institute. She currently teaches dancers of all ages and levels across The Lower Mainland and has students competing and performing both locally and internationally. As an educator, Sabra strives for boldness and excellence in dance while helping young artists foster a relationship with movement that is both mentally and physically sustainable.
